According to onchain records from Arkham Intelligence, an entity known as “SUN” appears to have linked an HTX cold wallet to the forthcoming Donald Trump dinner.
Arkham Reports Whale Wallet ‘SUN’ Cracks Top Tier for Trump’s Meme Coin Gala
On Wednesday, Bitcoin.com News revealed that the leading 220 holders of the TRUMP meme coin will receive invitations to a gala with the 47th U.S. president at the end of May. The TRUMP meme coin website indicated that a publicly accessible leaderboard—updated hourly—will show which holders qualify for entry, and that an exclusive reception for the top 25 holders will take place before the dinner. Following that announcement, TRUMP’s price jumped roughly 65% on Wednesday, and as of Thursday, it’s still up 30%.
Per an X post by Arkham Intelligence, an account labeled “SUN” on the leaderboard has secured a spot at the exclusive reception. “Somebody appears to have registered an HTX cold wallet for the Donald Trump dinner,” Arkham stated. “HTX holds $14.6M TRUMP in this wallet, making it the largest wallet registered for the dinner.” The top “VIP” spot on the gettrumpmemes.com leaderboard belongs to an account called “CHASE,” with “SUN” sitting in third place.

Solscan data show “CHASE” as the 48th-largest holder—likely because the contest seemingly excludes exchange wallets and the token issuer’s addresses. Meanwhile, Solscan ranks “SUN” as the 24th-largest holder, but gettrumpmemes.com determines its leaderboard by time-weighted holdings, factoring in both the size and duration of each holder’s TRUMP balance. “The longer you hold, the higher your weighted score,” the site explains.
On social media—especially X—commentary has heated up over the president’s gala with meme coin holders. Cinneamhain Ventures partner Adam Cochran criticized the event: “They are launching this nonsense, 3 days before the Trump token starts to unlock at a rate of $4M a day in vested tokens for ‘the team’ (Trump and co),” Cochran said. “How the f*** is this not pay-to-play?”
In essence, the meme coin gala mirrors Trump’s Mar-a-Lago NFT dinner: both swap digital assets for elite access, tiered perks and commemorative keepsakes. Whether through “Mugshot Edition” cards or time-weighted TRUMP tokens, supporters trade collectibles for proximity, exclusive receptions and branded memorabilia—blurring lines between onchain stakes and real-world privilege.
Amid the frenzy over rankings and reception spots, the gala signals a new fusion of politics and token-driven incentives. Observers may question how weighted holdings and timed unlocks shape access, while whale wallets jockey for advantage. It’ll be intriguing to watch how the leaderboard shifts throughout early May.
