$508M Bitcoin Long Bet, No Fiat Left, and ‘Paper Hands Will Burn’

After bitcoin vaulted beyond the $107,000 mark, the leading digital asset retraced and dipped below the $103,000 threshold. Amid this sharp recalibration, the notorious Hyperliquid whale intensified its 40x leveraged bitcoin long position, which now carries a valuation of $508 million.

Hyperliquid Whale Claims Bitcoin ‘Volcano’ Is Primed to Explode

Based on the most recent figures, the Hyperliquid whale—identified as James Wynn—expanded his position following Sunday evening’s climb to $107,115. At the time of writing, bitcoin ( BTC) is exchanging hands at $102,984 per coin. In yesterday’s report, Wynn’s 40x BTC long was valued notionally at $392 million; that figure has since grown to $508 million. As of 7:30 a.m. Eastern on Monday, the liquidation threshold for this position stands at $97,994 per bitcoin.

Wynn has maintained a conspicuous presence on the social platform X, boldly declaring that he fears “no trader alive.” In a separate post, he proclaims, “There is no going back now. I have burned the boats. Fiat truck? Empty. Position? All-in. Balls? Steel.” Right now, due to the fact that the entry price was set at $103,381, Wynn’s bet is underwater when it holds beneath that range. “Bleed all bears out,” Wynn stated with even more conviction. Give them nothing—This is bitcoin.”

The Hyperliquid whale anticipates a substantial upward move and is convinced that a major directional pivot is on the horizon. “To the degens and paper hands from around the globe,” he wrote on X. “The bitcoin volcano is nearly ready to erupt. It will be ferocious. It will be violent. It will be like nothing we have ever seen before. Paper hands will shrivel into dust, shorts will be liquidated, [and] the bears? Finished.”

The trader added:

We are about to enter the bitcoin paradigm shift on an institutional and governmental level around the world. Ladies and gentlemen, global FOMO on every measurable aspect is at our fingertips.
