Maple Unifies Brand as AUM Surges Past $1.6B and Loan Originations Hit $7B

On-chain asset management leader Maple has officially unified all of its institutional and permissionless offerings this week under a single brand. This rebrand marks a major evolution for the platform as it crosses $1.6 billion in assets under management (AUM) and more than $7 billion in loan originations.

The consolidation includes Syrup, Maple’s permissionless arm, which will no longer operate as a standalone protocol. Its flagship product, syrupUSDC, will now be fully integrated and branded as Maple’s permissionless yield-bearing product—accessible globally (excluding U.S. users).

One Brand. One Platform. Full Access.

The unified Maple platform now includes:

syrupUSDC → Now Maple’s core permissionless product, open to eligible on-chain participants
Blue Chip & High-Yield Secured Lending → Professionally underwritten, overcollateralized institutional loans
BTC Yield → Manages over 1,600 BTC, delivering native returns without wrapping, lending, or bridging
Structured Products → Curated yield strategies with transparent risk and on-chain verifiability
“This update reflects how Maple is used today: a single platform where institutions and on-chain participants access yield with transparency and control. Unifying the brand lets us deliver that experience without fragmentation—and reinforces our role as the go-to asset manager for the next era of DeFi.”

By consolidating its ecosystem, Maple offers a streamlined experience for allocators seeking institutional-grade strategies across Bitcoin, structured lending, and permissionless DeFi—all on-chain, without intermediaries.

This move also simplifies onboarding for new users and institutional participants, offering a clearer path to DeFi-native yield across risk-adjusted products, whether secured, BTC-based, or automated through structured strategies.

What’s Next for Maple?

Maple’s next chapter centers around accessibility and transparency at scale. Central to its platform is the $SYRUP token, introduced in 2024, which powers community staking, protocol governance, and shared upside in Maple’s long-term growth.

Launched in 2021, Maple is now one of the largest decentralized asset managers in the space—combining institutional underwriting with the transparency and programmability of smart contracts. With this brand consolidation, it’s doubling down on being the default on-chain solution for capital allocators.
